Janie Haas, Founder & President
Janie Haas, the Founder and President of Janie Haas Events, has been in the event planning industry for more than four decades. Janie’s events are exclusively branded with exquisite attention to every detail. Janie has a wonderful working knowledge of, and professional relationship with, many of Boston’s top vendors which enables her to choose the appropriate team of vendors to make each event unique.
Janie is a graduate of Simmons College and has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. She resides in North Andover with her husband and dog Roxi (who joins her wonderful staff in the office every day). “There aren’t many people who, after all these years, still love what they do. …I am lucky to be one of them!” says Janie.
Maria Simpson, Senior Event Manager
Maria graduated from Framingham State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design & Retailing and a concentration in Merchandising. Throughout her college years, Maria worked at Yolanda’s, a high-end bridal boutique, as a bridesmaid consultant. It was while working at Yolanda’s she realized she had a passion for planning. After three years in California, Maria found her way back to the East Coast and landed in the event planning world. Since 2010, she has happily been a part of the Janie Haas Events family. Maria is now a Senior Event Manager and has exceptional organizational skills—along with a great eye for the latest trends and styles. Maria has a respect and outlook for the planning process and is exceptional at anticipating her clients’ needs—giving them true piece of mind.
Diana Hoffman, Event Producer
Diana is an Event Producer with more than ten years experience in the event planning industry. Diana graduated from Penn State University in 2006 where she majored in Hospitality with a minor in Event Planning. Prior to joining the Janie Haas Events team, Diana worked in Boston, New York City and Colorado running high-end social events, fundraising galas and corporate affairs. Diana has witnessed an endless variety of art, culture and diversity which contributes to her impeccable taste and flair for the non-ordinary. Her upbeat attitude, attention to detail and ability to organize all aspects of a function have resulted in hundreds of successful events over the years. Her extensive knowledge of vendor resources allows her to find the best of everything available. She is a very outside-the-box thinker and always goes above and beyond the expected call of duty.
Roxi joined the Janie Haas Events team in 2012 when she was adopted from an local animal hospital. She spends her days going from office to office trying to pop into the lap of anyone who will notice her!
